RAMPF Tooling introduces first eco board
Grafenberg, 10.11.2009 – RAMPF Tooling has expanded its board material product range. A new eco board material under the name RAKU-TOOL® MB-0540 is now available. It is produced using predominantly recycling polyol. With this innovation the material specialist is intensifying its commitment towards more sustainability.
With the development of its close contour casting systems RAMPF Tooling has already taken a step towards preservation of resources in the modeling industry. The materials allow the user to represent newly developed products in their real shape within a short time. But not only that, through the close contour shape the user has less material wastage.
With the new eco board material MB-0540 under the brand RAKU-TOOL® RAMPF Tooling has succeeded in taking a further step towards sustainability. “The customer uses a board material that preserves resources but fully complies with our high quality standard”, comments Heinz Horbanski. The managing director of RAMPF Tooling presented the innovation for the first time at the in-house exhibition which took place last Friday, 30.10.2009. The new board features a fine surface structure, is easy to machine and to process manually. A good dimensional stability and a low coefficient of thermal expansion (45-50 10-6K-1) complete the property profile. Applications for the MB-0540 are styling, master and data control models.
A further pluspoint to be mentioned is that the recycling polyol whis is used to manufacture the board comes from the sister company RAMPF Ecosystems. RAMPF Ecosystems uses polyurethane waste from within the RAMPF group, recycles it and then lets it flow back into the production cycle.
