RAMPF Group extends the site at Grafenberg
The RAMPF Group is currently planning an important investment for the future. The company is expected to build a new factory at the beginning of 2008 with an area of 6,500 m² at the head office site in Grafenberg. The local council has already given the go-ahead. With a clear commitment to the location, the enterprise is to invest approximately 8 million Euros.
The new Plant III is to be built directly next to the existing Plant II in the Robert-Bosch-Street. A floor space area totalling 6,500 m² will accommodate new production and warehousing facilities, technical development and training rooms, laboratories as well as offices. The companies RAMPF Holding, RAMPF Tooling and RAMPF Casting Resins will benefit from this.
With the new building, the RAMPF group will safeguard the location Grafenberg and its further growth. At present, approximately 150 employees work there. With the extension, the manufacturer of reaction resins and associated application technol-ogy will create 20 new jobs. Top management would like to further strengthen the competence centres in Germany. "With the new premises it will be possible for us to interlink laboratory, production and selling functions even more closely. In this way, we will emphasize our philosophy to offer custommade solutions to the customer. And: We will finally have room to accommodate more trainees", stressed Michael Rampf, Managing Director of the RAMPF Group. The 33-year-old seems excited about future prospects. Besides the new building in Grafenberg - the ground-breaking ceremony is planned for the beginning of 2008, after receiving approval by the district administrator’s office - there are further building sites throughout the world. In Wangen near to Göppingen the subsidiary company EPUCRET Mineral Casting Technology is just extending its production capacities. In January 2008, a production factory for mineral casting will be opened in China. And: At the RAMPF Group, Inc. in the United States production for reaction casting resins is being set up, in order to be able to serve the North American market from Michigan more efficiently.
